Walter B. Saul High School
Students seek to convert screening and bagging compost procedures to use solar power. Currently these procedures are powered by fossil fuel sources.
The school wishes to reduce its carbon footprint and expose students to the advantages of solar power options. Students also will be able to meet curricular standards for CTE by incorporating solar energy into their lessons.
The funding will allow us to purchase a portable solar power unit which the students can use to learn about green practices and explore environmentally-friendly alternatives to traditional fossil fuels.
